250-year-old farmhouse – we demolished a large portion to the rear and added a modern, energy-efficient extension to replace. Original farmhouse had full energy retrofit including solar panels, condensing boiler, etc. We added high performance, double-glazed doors and windows, in the style of the original. We opened a number of built-up windows, which were blocked up due to William 111 (William of Orange) window tax in 1696, to bring more natural light into the rooms.
